The first installment of this series focuses on Kim Deakins, a tattoo artist and owner of Pink Goblin Tattoo in Athens, GA. Despite her formal art training, having received an MFA from the Lamar Dodd School of Art, Kim’s small town southern origins and fascination with the more proscriptive styles of the art world led her down a nearly decade long journey in the tattoo industry.
